Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician required for a global food manufacturer in Bristol. My client offers an excellent working environment coupled with favourable benefits.

Salary - competitive

Working a rotating 2 shift pattern (6-2 and 2-10) Mon to Fri with pre-arranged weekend cover upon request (call-out)5 per year (Fri 10pm - Sun 10pm)

Objective:
Maintain efficient running of site equipment, in a safe and cost effective manner. To ensure production is fully supported, as and when required.

Key Responsibilities:
*Carry out all tasks given as part of site PM system in an efficient manner in order to get the job done limiting the loss of productivity.
*Provide engineering cover 24 hours a day 5 days of week with prearrange weekend cover upon request (call out)
*Continually look for and support savings or improvements which have a positive impact on the department and site performance.
*Maintain safety standards on all plant/equipment and building fabric.
*Comply with site health and safety, food hygiene and relevant engineering regulations as applicable.
*Liaise with onsite contractors.
*Any reasonable tasks as required by management.

*Interpretation of written and pictorial technical resources (ie schematic, ladder, GA, isometric 1st & 3rd angle).

*Disciplined approach to system and data completion

Qualification:
*Good Secondary education with qualifications in Maths, English and a science.
*Ideally qualified to a minimum of ONC/HNC, City and Guilds level 3 in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic (depending on discipline required) or evidence of supplementary experience.
*Significant electrical experience relating to process and building services.
*Experience of working within a PLC driven process and extensive industrial automation environments with proven fault finding skills.

Desirable:
*Experience of working within the food industry
*PASMA / IPAF Accreditation
*17th Edition
*SAP PM knowledge
