Maintenance Technician

Permanent Maintenance Technician opportunity in Yeovil. This position will have a heavy bias to Mechanical PPM and reactive works to a large and interesting site.

Joining a site team of 20 personnel covering Maintenance/Water treatment, Chemical Tank cleaning and other waste handling at the operation in Yeovil.

Description

Maintenance Technician duties:

As the Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for all Mechanical planned and reactive maintenance/servicing works on a varied range of process, water treatment, cooling towers, LEV plant and machinery, which may include modification, upgrade and installation work, you will support the various surface treatment process facilities through maintenance, sampling, monitoring and inspection tasks and data and monitoring recording plus reporting same to stakeholders.

You will have active involvement in delivering continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with the company's health and safety, quality and environmental policies/procedures. You will be customer focused with effective verbal and written communication skills and able to work as part of a Team.

Profile

To enable you to carry out this role you will have the ability to diagnose and offer effective countermeasures for critical plant breakdowns to maintain essential services to our customers, be a proven self-starter with a pro-active approach to maintenance and Safety focused with experience in preparation of Risk Assessments and Permit to Work and possess a Full driving licence. You will be familiar with standard PC software such as, Microsoft Excel and Word.

It would be advantageous but not essential, if you had Knowledge of and use chemicals and cooling towers, experience /qualified to use MEWP and counterbalance forklift, hold a CSE certification, experience working on water treatment equipment/processes and hold an ONC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, however these are not essential but desirable.

Ideally based in in Yeovil or locally.
