Maintenance / Process Technician

South Wales

£30,000 + shift allowance

Yolk Engineering & Technical is working with this global precision manufacturing business in the recruitment of a Process Technician. The local site has a record of over 25 years’ consistent growth and success and the global group is continuing to invest in the business with new machinery and ongoing training. The business boasts a very high rate of staff retention as a result and the team take pride in maintaining their reputation for delivering quality to a global client base.

You will be responsible for:

- Providing the first technical response to issues with machinery

- Setting, running and maintaining machinery

- The installation of new tools including set up, start up and change over

- Maintaining and improving productivity through reduced downtime

- Maintain an awareness of waste produced in each process

- Assist with risk assessments for plant and equipment

- Working with colleagues to determine feasibility of improvements and developments

- Acting as a link between all operational departments, using lean manufacturing techniques and best practices to then help incorporate systems and procedures into practice

- Support Continuous Improvement Programmes
