Salary: £8.95 per hour
Hours per week: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday for 46 weeks of the year with 6 weeks paid holiday.
This role will involve assisting Site Maintenance Manager with day to day minor repairs and routine maintenance, emergency repairs, porterage and some cleaning or grounds tasks in order to maintain a clean, functional, safe and pleasant environment in which people can live and work.
We also require someone who is able to work with some of our students as we encourage them to learn maintenance, building and ground work skills. You will be working with young people with a range of developmental and behavioural issues.
You should have a sound knowledge of property maintenance and repairs, to include joinery, basic plumbing, electrics and experience of maintaining heating and hot water systems.
Although previous experience of working with children is not essential you must have a calming influence and be able to act as a positive role model, particularly to our older students. You will display a kind, tolerant nature and show the right temperament to work in this environment.
Uniform and personal protective equipment will be provided as required. A clean and current driving licence is also a requirement.
