This is a full time, ongoing temporary contract and the successful candidate will hold a relevant HND/ONC and have a full UK Driving Licence.
The main purpose of the role is to provide a planned maintenance service to the clients properties and ensure that all compliance aspects are met and exceeded.
The main duties associated with the role are as follows;
Identify solutions, prepare specifications and quotation documents and procure works or services.
Manage contractors to ensure works are delivered, ensuring efficiency and economically within an established budget and taking appropriate action to deal with variance as required.
Provide technical advice to clients on reactive and planned maintenance, health and safety and compliance with current legislation.
Manage all works under your control, this will include monitoring performance, chairing contract meetings, inspecting / auditing work, giving instructions including variation.
Raising of purchase orders, approving payments in compliance with the Council's Standing Orders.
To ensure that all building related Health and Safety statutory requirements are met and appropriate records kept, and all buildings are fit for purpose, compliant, efficiently delivered and of sufficient quality to allow staff to do their best work and customers to feel welcome and comfortable.
Proactively review and challenge all service sheets, reports and recommendations issued from the contractors, acting on all recommendations ensuring all documents are logged on the property asset management database.
Work collaboratively with the help desk, buildings and contracts supervisors, building surveyors and other members of the Assets team, this will include supporting the briefing external consultants, managing work flows through the property asset management database.
Carry out investigations on site to identify causes of issues on breakdown and similar reactive failures.
Manage own workload to a high degree of efficiency and know when to seek guidance and assistance from senior building surveyor, line manager or when specialist advice is required.
