About the role:
They are looking for a Mechanical and Electrical Manager to join their Building Services Team at The O2.
You will form an integral part of the multi-disciplinary engineering team, and will provide the expertise and accountability for the maintenance and operational undertaking for The O2 building.
You will assist the Head of Building Services in the day-to-day Building Services Operations; be responsible for the management of a team of up to 20 engineers and various sub-contractors across The O2 site to provide full maintenance capability across The O2 site for mechanical and electrical services, monitor performance and take remedial action where necessary.
Whilst managing the relevant elements of the planned preventative maintenance programme process to maintain the M & E elements of the buildings and maximise the life of all infrastructure and capital equipment; you will lead the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Team, to provide exceptional levels of service and be responsible for the compilation of periodic reports on all aspects of the M&E service delivery.
You will ensure the venue is maintained to the highest possible levels and that the priority areas of the venue are closely monitored
They are looking for someone with a relevant M&E Engineering qualification to at least technician level. With experience of managing a complex building with high visitor footfall; you will be able to demonstrate considerable breadth and depth of knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering related facilities maintenance issues.
With experience of managing in house and sub-contracted in teams; you will positively encourage team working across functional disciplines and ensure the highest levels of service are delivered and have a track record of successfully creating a performance orientated culture.
Commercially astute with an awareness of customer and client needs, you will have experience of preparing and managing budgets.
