I get it. You are a skilled maintenance engineer and there are loads of vacancies available for maintenance engineers being advertised. Why should I apply for this one?
What are you looking for?
Is it just the money? Some maintenance jobs are offering a great wage… but there are often reasons behind it. Some companies are really horrible to work for. Have equipment falling apart, where you are under pressure to keep the equipment going with little or no resources. Some companies are dangerous to work for (I hear some horror stories) and some are working in horrible conditions. The company have to pay above the odds just to attract staff before their maintenance engineers leave. They have no career. They only pay time off if lieu - and then resent you taking the time off. (I hear this all the time!)
This company isn't like that… they are just the opposite.
First of all the job is based in Daventry. In fact it is one of the largest engineering companies in Daventry.
They are also one of the most respected.
They offer great training. I have supplied them loads over the years and watch candidates I have placed grow within the business.
It is also a clean and tidy company. It isn't easy to keep a large engineering facility to keep tidy but they do. They invest in the plant and in their people.
Their equipment is up to date too. It is a modern plant to work in (it isn't a question of fighting to keep out of date machinery running).
Above all this is a career. The company want people to improve themselves.
The work is complex - it is fault finding and repair of plant and machinery .. including automated lines, test cells etc.
They are looking for someone experienced in Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance.
If you have experience using Siemens S7 PLC and you are Time Served it would be ideal.
Salary: circa £29,000 - £32,000 … it all depends on your experience
PLUS EXCELLENT OVERTIME!
Overtime Afternoon shift of £100.00 per week and £150.00 per week when on nights on top of the basic salary.
This is a Permanent position.
Working on a 3 shift.
