Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Shift: 3 shift pattern - Overtime available
Our Client is a well establish and growing firm who product outstanding products and pride themselves
on staff retention. They now require an energetic, forward thinking and flexible Electrical Maintenance
Technician to work in the new site in Nottingham. The company run special purpose machines for
various plastics, and packaging and runs 24/7 are on a drive to for fill their client’s requirements with
hiring talented MechanicalMaintenance Engineer to help with mechanical breakdowns. This role would
suit a newly trained engineer or time served.
The MechanicalMaintenance Engineer is responsible for the onsite maintenance, repair and
refurbishment of predominantly production based assets in a range of values and complexity.
Requirements are (but not limited to):
Proactive PPM in line with specific site requirements
Maintaining the high standards of workmanship
Promoting Continuous Improvement and a Positive Culture
Comply fully with all legislation of hygiene (Health and Safety at Work act 1974 etc…)
Manage spare parts: orders, receive, store, tidy and clean workshop
Mechanical repair to packing machines, blow and injection machines, conveyors and other plant
Have a basic understanding of Electrical maintenance i.e. motors, contactors ,sensors
Update and maintenance documents and quality system docs
Record non-conformance and report
Proactive in identifying problems and finding solutions
Be able to work well as a team and on their own initiative
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of:
Ideally NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering qualified
2 years minimum exposure to a maintenance environment.
Time served Apprenticeship / Training with experience
