Principal purpose of the job
To ensure swift resolution of any Plant breakdowns on the Middlesbrough Site. To assist the Engineering Manager in the completion of the Site PPM Schedule on a daily, weekly and annual basis. To provide PLC support for the site and ensure all site PLC systems are backed up regularly.
Your role is primarily based in Middlesbrough, which is a typical modern food manufacturing environment. Primarily based on the shop floor in all production areas and engineering workshop. Also work may involve working outside or on roof area, stairwells, ducts, plant rooms, office areas and warehouse.
May have to work in warm, humid, cold or wet environments for short periods of time.
May have to work exposed to weather occasionally using suitable protective equipment/PPE.
You may be required to work in other areas of the business from time to time.
Qualifications and job skills required
Previous food processing industry experience highly desirable
Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications/time served apprenticeship.
2 Years’ experience of working in an automated production environment.
A good standard of both written and oral English
Basic Food Hygiene
Basic Health & Safety
Data and analytical skills
Computer literate. (word/excel/windows based packages)
Desirable skills :- PLC’s, pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature control, instrumentation, welding.
