Maintenance Engineer required to work for a well-established provider of machine tooling in the Birmingham area. The Maintenance Engineer will have proven experience working with a range of machining and tooling equipment and ideally hold their 17th Edition electrical qualification.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will be trained to service and repair a range of mechanical and electrical faults on machining equipment such as lathes, grinding and milling machines. The role will also require occasional field work in and around Birmingham, travelling to customer sites and handling machine breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimise customer equipment downtime.
Maintenance Engineer - Machine Tooling Engineer Position Overview
The Maintenance Engineer role will be predominantly based at the company workshop where you will repair, maintain, service and refurbish both company and customer machinery. You will have excellent fault finding skills in both electrical and mechanical areas to ensure the minimal downtime of machinery. The role will also require some occasional field work for which a company van will be provided. The ideal candidate will have worked with machining equipment before, however mechanical training can be offered if necessary.

- Previous experience working with machining equipment
- Strong communication skills
- NVQ or apprenticeship served in a Maintenance / Mechanical subject / industry
- 17th Edition desirable
- Based within a commutable distance of Birmingham
- Full UK driving license
Maintenance Engineer - Machine Tooling Engineer Position Remuneration
- £20,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
- 31 days' holiday including bank holidays
- Working Hours: Mon - Thurs: 8am - 4:30pm, Fri: 8am - 3:30pm
- Company van for field work
