Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias

Our client is a well established and reputable company based on the outskirts of Burton. They are a food company and presently recruiting for a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias. The role will entail driving yourself and others to optimise machinery output and product quality, minimising plant downtime through effective preventative maintenance, efficient breakdown response and quality continuous improvement whilst maintaining a safe environment.

General duties will entail:

Ensuring maintenance is carried out in line with the schedule;
Quick and effective response to electrical and basic mechanical breakdowns;
Communicate unscheduled maintenance to the Engineering Manager;
Following of communicated escalation route for unscheduled plant breakdowns;
Demonstrate good problem solving techniques for electrical and basic mechanical issues.

Candidates should have completed a recognised maintenance / engineering apprenticeship OR extensive experience with the ability to demonstrate expertise. You should also be a team player with experience in the maintenance and trouble shooting of manufacturing systems.
