Your new company
Your new company is a large scale manufacturing organisation. Due to growth the Maintenance and Engineering Director would like to take a step back and look at the business from a strategic point of view, this has therefore created a position for a Maintenance and Engineering Manager to take responsibility of the day to day running of two sites - Scunthorpe and Chesterfield.
Your new role
As Maintenance and Engineering Manager you will oversee the main day to day running of the sites, this will include any maintenance and engineering activities. You will be responsible for ensuring all plant and machinery is well maintained to the highest standard but under budgetary control. You will also influence where needed any efficiencies and improvement to increase productivity. Noting the above you will be required to understand legislation requirements and ensure these are adhered to.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you are required to be degree qualified or equivalent with either NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications. Ideally you will have come from an engineering background, having experience in electrical, refrigeration and food production. As this is a managerial position you are required to have previous experience of managing a staff load, multi-site would be desirable however this is not an essential, included in that would be project management as well. If you have experience or knowledge of warehouse, production, logistics and automation this would be desirable, however training will be provided where needed if not.
What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a salary of £55,000 to £60,000 per annum dependent upon experience. The role will be for 40 hours per week, with a 30 minute paid lunch break. However should hours outside of these be required then this will be part of the role. You will receive a generous 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with parking on both sites and an auto-enrolment pension scheme. The organisation will also provide training where necessary and believes in investing in their staff.
