We are working with a very well established agricultural business in a beautiful rural Northamptonshire location who are for an administrator to join their busy and friendly team.
This will be a challenging but rewarding role providing administrative support to the Site Chief Engineer in running the electrical/engineering maintenance workshops, working with both internal employees and external contractors. The successful candidate will have good IT skills and be able to maintain the systems already in place. As well as this, they will have great communication skills and enjoy being part of a team, building relationships both internally and externally. Although prior knowledge of engineering is not an absolute necessity, an interest in engineering would be a bonus as they will be expected to learn the "language" quickly, and also will ideally have worked within a rural or agricultural orientated business previously.
This is a very busy role which will include some time spent at a desk, and also time out in the business "getting their hands dirty". Key skills will include strong communication, excellent organisation, good attention to detail and the ability to juggle lots of different tasks, combined with a friendly manner and a "can do" attitude.
The role will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing inventory
- Ordering parts
- Following up on orders
- Raising purchase orders
- Coding invoices
- Tracking service visits
- Being responsible for ensuring monthly and annual testing is scheduled and completed
