Macmillan Administration Support

1 x Full Time Permanent 37.50 hours per week

£16,633 - £19,461 per annum (Agenda for Change Band 3)

The North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (NEAS) has been successful in achieving Macmillan funding to provide high quality, Palliative, End of Life care, in its delivery of Emergency, Urgent Care and Non-emergency services.

This exciting development supports NEAS in its commitment to provide excellent clinical care, quality and safety, encapsulated in our mission of, "Safe, effective and responsive care for all."

It is recognised that some of the calls received into both 999 and NHS 111 are complex and specialise; Palliative Care/End of Life Care is one such example. These important patient groups require a specialist response, in terms of assessment, care provision at the time of call, and when frontline paramedics/emergency care crews arrive on scene.

To support this new and exciting initiative The Trust would like to welcome applications for the position of Macmillan Admin Support based within our Operations Centre at Headquarters Newburn.

The successful candidate will provide a high quality, efficient and effective clerical and administrative support to the Macmillan Nurse Facilitator and Macmillan Navigator working within NEAS to provide a Palliative Care/End of Life strategy, helping to support its ambition of delivering excellent care and experience to this patient group.

The Trust is working towards equal opportunities and having a workforce which represents the diversity of the people we serve. We welcome applications from all sections of the community irrespective of people’s gender, marital status, disability, race, nationality, sexual orientation, religious belief, or age.

The Trust has policies and procedures in place to ensure that all applicants are treated fairly and consistently at every stage of the recruitment process, including a guaranteed interview and consideration of reasonable adjustments for people who have a disability.

The value we place on our employees is reflected in our commitment to improving their working lives by offering flexible working opportunities and other employee friendly practices.
