Position:Machinist

Location:Manchester

Hours:6am-1:50pm / 1:30pm-9:20pm / 8:45pm-6am & early finish on Fridays

HRGO recruitment are currently recruiting a Manufacturing / Production Operative for our client in Manchester. The Ideal candidate will have experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Duties:

Using manual lathes,?band saws, being target focused, must hit output quota. Operating process equipment and machinery, including semi and fully automated machinery, and monitoring processes and recording parameters for production records, log sheets and SAP transactions. Communicating current status to other operators and departments, performing in house tests/analysis to ensure product is produced in line with specifications. Packing of finished goods into drums, bags, onto pallets or other forms of container for transportation. Aiding in the investigation and identifying the root cause of out of spec product and / or production issues.

Skills and requirements:

  • Must have experience on manual lathes or saws?-?Preferably qualified machinist
  • Valid FLT licence. A Pendant crane qualification would also be advantageous.
  • 5x GCSE's (Incl. Eng, Maths) - A-C
  • Post school education (NVQ lvl 3 or equivalent)
  • Achieved a minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject such as Engineering, Science, Manufacturing etc.
