A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join the small, specialist, London based R & D team of a US based company who are leading the way in Intelligent, Active Threat detection Systems. The system is aimed at the very real and growing Active Threat phenomena which has become a significant force for shaping research in weapons detection and the capability of this system is jaw dropping !!! Applications range from actively guarding venues from Schools to Airports, with any susceptible location or environment supported.
They are looking for a Senior Level (5 years 'ish experience) Machine Learning Engineer with in-depth signal processing experience (ideally RF / Acoustic / Speech / machine vision) to join their high calibre research and development team and apply this experience to real life practical 'live' scenarios.
You will be:
*Designing and developing machine learning modules
*Implementing ML algorithms
*Keeping up-to-date with developments in the ML field
*Running machine learning tests and experiments
*Developing visualisation tools to assess ML performance
*Performing statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
*Writing unit and usability tests
*Working in an agile environment
You will need -
*Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer / Signal Processing Engineer
*Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture
*Deep knowledge of math, algorithms, statistics and probability
*Ability to contextualize the ML knowledge to different practical scenarios
*Ability to visualise the ML models without treating them as blackboxes
*Previous experience and understanding of RF / Acoustic / Speech / Sensor / Vision signal attributes
*Ability to write robust efficient codes in Python and at least one other major software language
*Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like Scikit-learn)
*Working knowledge of Linux command line.
*Knowledge of version control systems (e.G. GIT).
