M&E Quantity Surveyor

Brief Outline

A Large South East based M&E Contractor are looking for a M&E Quantity Surveyor. They have an excellent array of prestigious projects already secured for 2017 including a variety of commercial developments. They undertake projects up to the value of around £5m around the South East. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years M&E QS experience and at least 5 years within Quantity Surveying.

About our Client

A well-known and widely respected M&E Contractor they are going through an excellent period of growth they undertake large projects in a variety of sectors throughout the South East. They are based within the county of Hampshire but work within the South East. Projects within the commercial and residential sectors up to around £5m in value.

About the Role

oversee Sub-Contractor financial management

enhance and control the presentation of variations from the Site Managers and Engineers to maximise recoverable value

develop good relationships and meet with our Clients and their Representatives at regular intervals to discuss and agree variations and valuations in conjunction with the Surveying Team

review all Contract Documents for potential risk and exposure

coach and mentor the Engineering Teams on Commercial and Financial aspects

manage and maintain communications between all parties associated with our Contracting activities

monitor performance against Company Budget and Business Direction Plan

About the Candidate

BSc or Equivalent Experience within Quantity Surveying
3 Years experience within M&E Quantity Surveying
Pro-active attitude to work
Good technical knowledge
Professional outlook
Determination to succeed and progress to management position
