M & E Project Manager Rail
My Client is on the lookout for an M&E Telecoms Project Manager with a rail background to join a project team on the Edinburgh Waverly Train station upgrades.
The role will be to support the monitoring of M&E jobsite activities by contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, the coordination of interfaces; and the overseeing of progress and productivity of the works. To manage the M&E Package of works from contractor detailed design through installation, testing and commission to handover. Must have Rail Knowledge
o Overseeing construction activities of construction contracts within the area of responsibility at each geographic location or system based area.
o Monitoring the contractor's management of direct hire and subcontract relations, and utility/rail interfaces on site.
o Providing support to the Project Field Engineer in monitoring Contractor compliance with the Construction Quality Plan, and in resolution of NCRs and Snag List items at contract level.
o Monitoring and supporting the contractor's compliance with Environmental, Safety & Health requirements, escalating issues and seeking intervention where required. Checking there is a satisfactory level of health and safety through taking reasonable care of own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected in the day-to-day delivery of this role
o Experience of managing the construction of significant value packages of work on comparable major project infrastructure works
o Knowledge and experience of construction quality systems and processes
o Understanding of project controls processes
o Knowledge and experience of site-based ES&H processes and procedures
o Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
o Knowledge of the use of subcontracts; knowledge of the contractor/ subcontractor's
o CCSC Card Holder
o Experience of NEC 3 Contracts
o Experience of design review of contractor Riba F2 work packages.
o Experience of building M&E systems
o Experience of Fire alarm and CCTV installation
o Experience of test and commissioning processes
o Experience of working in a rail station environment
