Significantly, they self-deliver a higher percentage of these bespoke services than most of their competitors, bringing the reassurance of tighter control and budget planning. The Leeds office is looking to attract an M&E CAD Technician with extensive experience creating and amending a wide range of drawings. In additional to traditional 2D AutoCAD drawings, the business is looking to invest time and money training their AutoCAD Technicians to become 3D and BIM proficient, utilising specialist software such as AutoDesk to incorporate Revit MEP. This dual role offers the M&E CAD team the opportunity to keep pace with important industry changes and upgrades, through training and personal development, creating an enhanced division of CAD/BIM professionals who can work closely with the Design Engineers to deliver complex projects.
BIM continues to play an important role in what the design team is challenged to produce, with the demand for this technology only set to increase further through 2018 and beyond. With this in mind, further investment will once again be made with 5 additional workstations (including one in the Leeds) already agreed and ready to be implemented across the country in the coming weeks. This significant financial outlay once again demonstrates the company’s commitment to BIM Technology, reinforcing their position as a leader in this field.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a professional Building Services environment (Consulting Engineering or Design and Build Contracting) and have mastered the basic principles of mechanical and electrical services engineering. Important characteristics to demonstrate will be a strong work ethic, clear communication, prompt decision making, teamwork and the desire to enhance your experience and professional development as part of a long term career plan.
