Job Title: Luggage Porters / Receptionists

Number of Vacancies: 2

Job Location: Central London

Job Duration: Temporary to Permanent

Job Started: As soon as possible

Shift Days / Timings: Full Time, 5 Days a week (40 - 48 hours pw)

Salary: £9.05 to £11.00 per hour

Job Summary

Be the host and front of house person Use the 'Warm Welcome’ Standards to deliver a great first impression with professionalism, friendliness and efficiency.

Create a sense of belonging for our residents and guests. Develop positive relationships whilst delivering an exceptional guest experience, positive reviews and return bookings

Deliver an ultimate level of service to our guests and residents

Main Duties

·Receive handover from previous shift

·Check the cash float and its contents and ensure all details are recorded

·Check water stock, light bulbs and electrical items

·Collect refuse left on corridors and place in bins in the basement

·Order newspapers, magazines and distribute

·Ensure all delivery jobs are logged accordingly

·Check monthly newspaper invoices and pass to FOH Manager for signature

·Clean Porter’s changing room

·Sweep entrance steps and the pavement at both 55PL and 60PL entrance

·Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the lobby and front lifts

·Ensure delivered milk is distributed to offices

·Complete and record all wake up calls

·Check the taxi book for any early bookings

·Assist with luggage for all arrivals and departures

·Report and repair any minor faults and ensure the correct information is emailed to Engineering

·Ensure all Front Office forms are in stock

·Handle any guest arrival in accordance with the 'Arrivals Procedure’

Safety & Security

·Be fully aware of the Health & Safety regulations and report any safety hazards to Security

·Attend and respond to all alarms accordingly and as per procedure

·Ensure basic manual handling techniques are being followed.

Personal Specification


·2+ years’ experience in a similar role

·Knowledge of MS Office tools

·Ability to prioritise work loads

·Effective verbal and written communication skills

·Courteous, confident, efficient, self-disciplined and self-motivated

·Exceptional customer service skills

·Excellent interpersonal skills

·Consistent and composed approach towards guests and staff in demanding situations

·Ability to work under pressure and independently without supervision

·Must be a team player with strong attention to detail

·Professional attitude and appearance


·Demonstrate a proactive approach to work
