Lubrication Technician

Rare opportunity for a Lubrication Technician based at a heavy engineering mill in Snodland, near Maidstone. Monday to Friday 8.00 - 4.30 + Overtime

Lubrication Technician requirements:

• Essential - 5 GCSE A*-C (or equivalent) to include maths and English
• Mechanical aptitiude
• Job entails bending, walking, lifting, and climbing throughout the shift
• Good Written and communication skills for using computers
• Engineering experience

With a specific focus for continuous improvement and plant reliability, this role is responsible for all the lubrication of the site in terms of oil and grease requirements. Working with the minimum of supervision from a site lubrication schedule to ensure the correct quantity and type of lubricant is applied at the right frequency for each component. Working closely with the Reliability Engineer to ensure that equipment does not fail due to a lack of lubrication.

• Some engineering experience is desirable.
• Some understanding of preventative maintenance and condition-based monitoring would be beneficial.
• Good communication skills, self-motivated and a team player, who will also spend considerable time working on site alone.
