Our client is a school based in Brent has an exciting new opportunity for an LSA to start as soon as possible.
This is a great mainstream school with a long standing senior management team committed to achieving an excellent learning environment for the children. Close to local transport links and minutes walk from two Underground stations they keep to very high standards in the school, with a caring ethos where every child is put first to achieve the best outcome for the individual pupil.
You will need Level 3 qualification and the school are ideally looking for someone who has previous experience of working one to one. With the belief that every child deserves the very best education and a safe and caring environment in which they can thrive, the ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have the ability to engage with pupils and will need to support their learning, progress and inclusion.
Your positive and enthusiastic approach to working in partnership with the class teacher will provide the means for pupils to reach their full potential. You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher as you will be partly responsible for encouraging the positive emotional, social and academic development of the pupil. Essential skills include excellent communication and relationship building skills.
As the successful Teaching Assistant you will need to:
- Have a level 1, 2, 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or 6 months experience
- Be able to deal with challenging behaviour and a creative approach is necessary
- Be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team
- Be able to adapt with ease to new environments
- Have an outstanding awareness of safeguarding, equality and diversity
- Be friendly and approachable
The school requires an immediate start with the opportunity to go long term; the post will be full time, Monday to Friday.
