A global manufacturing business based in Hertfordshire are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager.
Your new role
As the new Logistics Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day to day management of the 3PL function and driving the efficiency and service of overall distribution. As part of the 3PL support, you will ensure all contractual agreements are met as well as develop a sound and effective relationship which is focussed on collaboration and continuous improvement. You will forecast spend, monitor costs and challenge these where appropriate; in addition to collating and analysing data relating to the performance of the 3PL. You will contribute to department efficiency and drive continuous improvements through quick wins and longer term projects. Other responsibilities include; stock management; managing core Logistics tasks; OTIF metrics; damages and claims resolution.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have previous experience managing a 3PL provider and a fast paced Logistics Operations. You will be confident with all of the above and have a strong background in a customer facing environment. It's imperative you are a competent negotiator with excellent communication skills. As an individual, you will be a natural problem solver and have the confidence and capabilities to manage multiple stakeholders, when required.
