Coordinator (Administration) – Logistics (Signet Jewellers – H.Samuel & Ernest Jones)

Full Time: 37 hours per week

** You must be flexible to cover shift patterns, covering days, evenings and weekends**

You’ll almost certainly have seen one of our stores – a familiar sight on the UK high street with 300 stores throughout the country. We’re the organisation responsible for popular jewellery brands H. Samuel and Ernest Jones.

We have a new opportunity available for a Logistics Coordinator to join our busy Customer Fulfilment team/Distribution Centre in Hockley, Birmingham.  As Logistics Coordinator, you’ll ensure tasks and activities are delivered through the effective coaching and motivating teams of a team of Warehouse operatives and Administrational staff.  You’ll support small teams (4 – 10 FTE) to ensure the delivery of specific activities

Responsibilities include;

  • Ensure clear communication to operatives & admin teams about task requirements and oversee progress of tasks to completion, escalating any concerns about timely completion to supervision / management as appropriate
  • Delivery of ‘on the job’ guidance and coaching of operative/admin teams, escalating any concerns / issues about conduct and performance to supervision / management as appropriate
  • Undertake required tasks and activities using relevant / appropriate internal systems and methods e.g. AS400, voice picking & PC based systems
  • Adherence to HR, safety, warehouse, asset protection & security procedures

What you’ll have on your CV:

  • Proven working knowledge of and ability to effectively use internal systems
  • Proven ability to oversee and coordinate the tasks of a small team
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly verbally
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks
  • PC literate

You'll be flexible to cover our shift patterns as required.
