Your new role
Reporting into the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the control, execution and delivery of company commodities to the dedicated buyers while meeting the satisfaction of the suppliers and generating maximum profit for the business.
To ensure this can happen, you will need to be able to; Renewing and managing purchasing and sales contracts to increase marginal profit while meeting company specification, check and file contract confirmations, print, check and file all contracts, assist with high volume data entry, manage commodity supply chain routes to ensure maximum efficiency, develop relationships with suppliers, distributors and consumers, assist in pricing of contracts and to develop strong internal relationships to ensure maximum internal efficiency.
What you'll need to succeed
No previous logistics experience is needed, but you must have proven administrative experience and have the ability to manage large volumes of work efficiently to meet strict deadlines. Equally, you must be bright, hard working while demonstrating high levels of professional initiative to ensure projects run smoothly. The ideal applicant will be educated to degree level but it is essential you are educated to Sixth Form level or equivalent.
