Our client is a professional organisation with a busy production / transport / logistics team. They are looking for an experience Logistics Co-ordinator who can handle all customer service queries and schedule deliveries with confidence. It is likely that you will be a Logistic Graduate and /or possess at least 2 years’ experience in a logistics environment or have exceptional administrative and communication skills. The department is fast paced and professional and the role and company are very progressive therefore have a great platform to enhance your skills.

The salary is competitive and negotiable, dependent upon your skills the company benefits are excellent including generous holidays, pension and healthcare scheme. Onsite subsidised restaurant, free parking and daytime hours Monday - Friday. No shifts involved.

Duties involve:

  • Booking in deliveries with customers, advising and managing delivery timescales
  • Tracking and account for all incoming and outgoing products logged by invoice and product number
  • Confirm timely delivery of products
  • Co-ordinating delivery schedules and mapping routes for the drivers
  • Liaising with internal warehouse, transport and sales teams
  • Checking invoices for quantity and price
  • Scanning all delivery notes onto the in-house system
  • Arranging to send out goods by carrier companies if necessary
  • Produce departmental reports for management
  • General admin / telephone customer queries

You should have:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of all of Logistics including goods out stock and transport management
  • Good knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word and Excel Office and other business supported systems
  • A drive to succeed, good time management, effective communication skills, developing winning relationships
  • A strong eye for detail / accuracy
  • A good background working in a customer driven and administrative environment
  • An excellent telephone manner, polite, friendly and informative
