9-12m FTC opportunity for an analytically minded Logistics / Supply Chain professional to join a busy team.
Your new company
I am exclusively working with a thriving manufacturing client in Manchester who are seeking a Logistics Analyst to cover a period of maternity leave. For want of a thorough handover period, this opportunity is available for an IMMEDIATE START. There is potential for this role to go permanent at the end of the fixed-term period.
Your new role
As Logistics Analyst, you will be responsible for setting up a 'direct dispatch' system with major retail clients to ensure a seamless and efficient logistics process from the manufacturing site to customers - this will be a mixture of B2B and B2C orders. You will also be analysing inventory data to spot trends and gaps, and identify any aged stock, which you will then report on and take appropriate action with internal stakeholders to plan on how to shift this stock.
In this Logistics Analyst role, you will regularly review forecasted data vs actual sales data to ensure orders can be fulfilled with current stock levels and with future deliveries.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for the position of Logistics Analyst, you must have a proven background in a similar role. You will have strong analytical skills and will be highly competent using MS Excel (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables etc). You will have prior experience in analysing data related to inventory/stock, logistics and supply chain.
What you'll get in return
- A £25,000 salary
- An exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced business which is thriving
- An initial contract to cover maternity leave, with a potential to go permanent after the contracted period
- An immediate start, to be started remotely
