Logistics Administrator

An opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Administrator to join our client's busy Logistics Team. You will need to be extremely IT literate including the use of Excel. You will need to be highly organised, be able to work at a fast pace. Attention to detail and positive attitude is a must along with excellent customer service skills.

Key responsibilities will include:-

  • Dealing with all the office administration and logistics functions
  • Logistics planning and liaison with contractors and warehouse leaders
  • Dealing with inbound and outbound operations
  • Data entry and updating the systems and keeping all documentation up to date and organised
  • Working to tight deadlines based on distribution deadlines
  • Coordinating transportation details and advising on any delays or problems that may arise
  • Reporting and providing the correct documentation for shipment to customers
  • Liaising between the transport and the customers
  • Ensure all outbound loads are audited and discrepancies are investigated and resolved
  • Ensure all factory queries regarding stock or shipping are dealt with in a timely manner
  • To work flexibly across both warehouse and transport functions

Skills and Experience:

  • Good analytical and Problem Solving skills
  • Excellent PC skills, computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of transport management systems, desirable
  • A good communicator both verbal and written
  • Can adapt to change quickly
  • Ability to work using own imitative and confident to work under pressure
