The Administration Assistant will provide an efficient, effective and high quality administrative support to District Nursing and community matron teams in a Community

General responsibilities of an administrator

1. Using e-technologies to improve ways of working within the team.

2. Participating in the maintenance of effective office systems, identifying improvements to improve individual, team and service performance.

3. With direction and instruction to collect information required for statistical analysis and to collate information for forwarding to the relevant team. To record and input onto the computer any relevant data as directed.

4. Actively involved in maintaining data quality at all time, ensuring accurate information is recorded on the Patient Administration System

5. Assisting in maintaining adequate supplies of stock items within the Teams.

6. Ensuring the work area is appropriate and fit for purpose

7. Following Trust and departmental policies and procedures for the work area including HR policies, operating procedures and financial policies

8. Contributing to the management of service risks and governance.

9. Support project work within the function as identified by the management Team

10. Undertaking duties in line with role banding and level of competence and act as an ambassador for administration services displaying exemplary role model behaviours

4. Working as part of a Team

Work flexibly within core working hours to ensure the service is appropriately covered and supported.

Respond flexibly in order to meet the changing demands of the service

Participate in team meetings and contribute to the building of effective teamwork

Promote communication and effective working practices with all staff

Work as part of the support service to the nominated District Nurse Teams

Share information, skills and experiences with colleagues

Listen and be open to views of others

Actively work to develop and maintain positive relationships within the Trust and externally

Support the District Nurse Team Leader with the day to day running of the
