International Luxury Transportation Manufacturer seeks a Logistics Analyst.
About the role:
To identify, extract and manipulate data to create and utilise a PFEP that supports operational efficiency, process improvement and superior customer service within the logistics function.
Responsibilities / Tasks :
Extracting data from multiple sources, create a PFEP to use as the key tool for logistics planning and management Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing and regular KPIs and reports Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other methods that optimise efficiency and quality Use data to provide planning information that supports operational control and resilience Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns to support process management and improvement Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems Work with Logistics Management team to prioritise business and information needs including identification and escalation of risks and issues Work with the operational team to locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc) Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings Qualification in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
Person Specification :
You should be able to manage multiple activities to ensure on time implementation of projects, including the identification and resolution of issues as they arise to ensure no detrimental impact to timing.
You should be able to analyse and use data to inform proposals and decision.
You should be able to work well under pressure and be able to coach those working with you for mutual benefit.
