Part time | Band 6 Community and Outpatient Speech & Language Therapist
We are looking for a part time Speech and Language therapist for 22.5 hours per week, you will be joining a community neurological conditions management team (CNCMT), The team is a dedicated multidisciplinary team working alongside dietetics, rehab assistants, OTs and Physiotherapists
Part time: 22.5 hours per week
ASAP - 2 Months
£22.97 per hour (PAYE)
You will work predominantly within the community service but there will also be an opportunity to work on the level 2 inpatient neurorehabilitation unit within the same service.
You will form part of a small speech and Language therapy service including a rotational Band 6 SLT and a Band 7 SLT.
Must have experience of working with people with neurological conditions.
Be able to demonstrate specialist knowledge, skills and application of current neurological assessment and evidence based interventions for a wide range of swallowing and communication disorders including aphasia, cognitive communication disorder, dysarthria, apraxia and dysphagia.
You will have an innovative approach to patient and goal centred care and efficient service delivery.
Excellent communication skills, the ability to work well in a team, an interest in the training and supervision of staff and a positive and flexible approach is essential.
Car driver is essential for this community post (there is access to a pool car).
