Band 6 OT locums role
- Based in Bristol
- Full time role but open to part time
The Band 6 Occupational Therapist will provide high-quality, evidence-based assessment and intervention for adults in an acute hospital setting. The role involves working within a fast-paced multidisciplinary team to facilitate timely patient recovery, rehabilitation, and discharge planning. The postholder will manage a caseload of patients with complex medical, surgical, and neurological conditions, supporting them to regain independence in essential daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:1. Clinical Responsibilities- Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments for patients admitted to acute wards, including medical, surgical, orthopedics, and neurology units.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance patients' functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Utilize clinical reasoning to recommend appropriate rehabilitation, adaptive equipment, or onward referrals to community or specialist services.
- Provide expert advice on environmental adaptations and modifications to support patients' recovery and discharge.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust interventions accordingly to ensure the best clinical outcomes.
