Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Part Time – Up to £60 per hour umbrella – Remote Working – Initial 3 months

Venn Group’s specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-month assignment. This role offers remote working following an on-site induction on the first day and provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Lawyer to support a busy team.

The Role:
Position: Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer
Duration: Initial 3 months with the possibility for extension
Rate: Up to £60 per hour umbrella
Working Pattern: Part Time – 3-4 days per week

Duties will include:
• Managing a varied caseload of commercial contracts matters
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of commercial agreements
• Advising on procurement matters as required
• Supporting internal departments on contract governance and compliance
• Providing general commercial legal advice to the wider team

Ideal Candidate:
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with recent public sector or local government experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial and procurement law
• Excellent drafting, communication and advisory skills
