You will be required to cover to manage the delivery and development of the clinical pharmacy service to the Emergency Department and the Acute Medical Unit (AMU).
To facilitate the safe and timely discharge of patients from the AMU, and to work with the division to lead on initiatives to improve the discharge process and work with the medical division to ensure high standards of clinical and financial pharmaceutical management
It is essential that you are able to lead a pharmacy service in accordance with current professional standards and clinical governance guidance and ensure the safe and timely discharge of patients from the AMU
To work closely with the division and lead on information in relation to clinical and financial aspects of drug prescribing such as drug protocols and drug budget management
To develop and ensure regular pharmacist attendance on post take ward rounds.
To act as a specialist role model and an expert in emergency, acute and general medicine and train rotational pharmacy staff at ward level.
All staff and teams are motivated, perform effectively and provide high quality and safe service levels.
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you hold an MPharms Degree along with UK GPhC registration and a minimum of 1 year working within a UK Hospital.
