Salary: LAT - £31,220 - £49,091 plus 1B banding (40% supplement) OR
LAS - Weekly rate paid monthly inclusive of 1B banding (40% supplement)
£1179.41 per week or £1299.45 per week depending on experience

Applications are invited for Locum Appointment for Service (LAS) posts at Midpark Hospital in the specialty Psychiatry.

The posts are available from 7th February 2018 for 6 months until 31st July 2018. The positions are usually occupied by Specialty Trainees in General Practice, Core Trainees in Psychiatry, but the successful applicants will be working on rotas which includes FY2 level, so the post would also be suitable for a doctor working at Foundation Year 2 level or above.

The medical teams across all wards and departments aim to provide high quality medical education, with all junior trainees receiving clinical and educational supervision along with regular invites to attend relevant teaching sessions. This is delivered in a supportive and friendly environment. NHS Dumfries & Galloway has a strong sense of community as does the population it serves.

Dumfries is located in the South West of Scotland, with an excellent reputation for its high standard of local schools, college, and its university. Dumfries and Galloway is a popular tourist resort for many outdoor pursuits including golfing, walking, cycling and mountain biking plus lot’s lot’s more! Dumfries is a town which prides itself on its poetry and culture.

To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both full GMC registration and a license to practice. To be eligible for the posts at CMT level you must have completed foundation training or equivalent. To be eligible for a post at FY2 level you must have completed FY1 level or equivalent.
