The Scottish Health Council works to promote and improve patient and public participation in the delivery of services across Health and Social Care Partnerships in Scotland. We do this in a number of ways including advising on how to involve patients, carers and the wider community in the decisions they make about services.
This post offers an exciting opportunity to promote the activities of the Scottish Health Council within the NHS Tayside area. Working with relevant stakeholders, you will develop productive working relationships with local public and patient representative bodies to facilitate effective assessment of the NHS Board's Patient Focus & Public involvement activities and work collaboratively to promote improvement.
Ideally, you will have public involvement and supervisory experience, excellent oral and written communication skills and enjoy working as part of a small team. Based in Dundee, you will be prepared to travel to remote and rural areas as well as to other locations within Scotland.
The Local Officer role could be subject to change following an organisational change process which is scheduled during 2018.
Closing date: 30 March 2018 at 12 Noon
