Due to our outstanding continuing success, we are seeking full time collections agents for our loan centre in Bootle, Merseyside, L30.

The person:

  • Must have excellent communication skills

Role and Responsibilities

  • Collection of overdue repayments from customers

  • Handling account queries from both customers and colleagues from our stores nationwide

  • Achieving individual and department targets

  • Providing a professional and courteous service to both customers and colleagues

  • Maintaining accurate records and correctly managing customer accounts

    Essential Skills

  • A minimum of one years experience working in either a contact/call centre or a busy office environment specifically in a financial services / customer services role

  • Office and Windows Software

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build a rapport with customers over the phone

  • Good numeration and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team and within a pressurised environment

  • Good listening, comprehension and questioning skills

  • Confident, clear and professional telephone manner

  • A willingness to be flexible dependent upon the demands of the business


    We operate a shift pattern

    Week 1

    8am - 2pm Monday - Friday

    Week 2

    2pm - 8pm Monday - Friday


    1 in 4 Saturdays 9am - 5.30pm (30 min lunch)

    1 in 4 Sundays 10am - 4pm

  • Salary

  • £15,600 (includes an evening/weekend shift allowance) + Excellent Bonus Scheme
