Due to our outstanding continuing success, we are seeking full time Collections Advisers for our Loan Centre in Bootle, Merseyside, L30.

COLLECTIONS ADVISER

The person:

  • Must have excellent communication skills

Role and Responsibilities

  • Collection of overdue repayments from customers

  • Handling account queries from both customers and colleagues from our stores nationwide

  • Achieving individual and department targets

  • Providing a professional and courteous service to both customers and colleagues

  • Maintaining accurate records and correctly managing customer accounts

    Essential Skills

  • A minimum of 6 months experience working in either a contact / call centre OR a busy office environment specifically in a financial services / customer services role

  • IT literate

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build a rapport with customers over the phone

  • Good numeration and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team and within a pressurised environment at times

  • Good listening, comprehension and questioning skills

  • Confident, clear and professional telephone manner

  • A willingness to be flexible dependent upon the demands of the business

Hours

  • The Loan Centre is open 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 5.30pm on Saturdays.

A typical Collector shift pattern is 37.5 hours per week across 5 days during the opening hours.

The set working hours will be confirmed to successful applicants.

Salary

  • Starting salary up to £16,575 dependent on experience + uncapped bonus (realistic OTE £25,000)
