Live in Cook/Housekeeper job in South Kensington

A UHNW formal household in S.Kensington are looking for an additional team member to help them out. Mum, her partner and mums’ two teenage children (aged 15 & 16), are looking for a real all-rounder who is flexible, an excellent cook and who has high standards of housekeeping. They already employ a part time PA/House Manager, 4 security members and 2 full time live in Housekeeper/Cook’s that you will work alongside.

Your daily duties will include (shared with the other two Housekeeper/Cook’s):

  • Shared cooking - you will only prepare the evening meal (and occasional lunches only if needed as not always) - as one of the other HK/Cook's starts earlier than you so she does breakfast. The family typically enjoy a mix of Asian, British & European foods, but generally eat most cuisines. They are happy for you to follow recipes. You must be happy cooking for small dinner parties and to discuss menu plans. Any large dinner parties they will hire in a Chef. Mum and her daughter like to eat vegan/vegetarian dishes sometimes so not always meat & fish and all food will be organic. They eat minimal dairy as a family. When cooking it is your responsibility to keep the kitchen clean and tidy. It is a bonus if you like to bake too (healthy alternatives).
  • Shared cleaning, laundry & ironing plus organising wardrobes
  • Shared dog walking
  • You must be happy to travel typically to Canada to their holiday home for 6-8 weeks every summer - this will be predominantly cooking when here as they already employ a House Manager and temporary Housekeepers.

As you are part of a team of 3 Live in Housekeeper/Cook’s, sharing all duties, your role will vary day to day and you could be asked to focus on cooking one day or housekeeping- you must be flexible. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, a team player, happy to help where needed and looking for longevity.

The team all speak Tagalog making it essential you are a fluent speaker to be able to communicate effectively with them throughout the day.
