Live-in Care Business Development Manager

We looking for an experienced and qualified healthcare professional to carry out care and risk assessments with potential new service-users who are looking to arrange live-in care in their own home. We are a growing independent homecare provider based in Saffron Walden in north west Essex and your role will be to grow our live-in care operations across Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.

This is an exciting and rewarding job role where you will need to be qualified to (or working towards) NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Your role will be to meet with service-users in their own homes, discuss their care needs with them and then write up person-centred care plans and risk assessments, as well as conducting reviews and re-assessments. You will need to ensure that all service-user information is accurate, complete and current and adheres to the CQC regulations, care standards and the company’s own policies and procedures.

You must have a positive and enthusiastic approach to your work, be committed to quality assurance and care passionately about delivering high-quality person-centred care. You should be a "people person" with excellent all-round communication skills, easily able to inspire confidence in potential private clients and their relatives. You will also need to be well organised and comfortable communicating with both colleagues and third party care professionals, to ensure that everyone is kept up to date with any changes to our clients’ care.

You should possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as sound typing and IT skills. You will also be responsible for matching care staff with clients and organising their rotas, so you will need to be able to think logically and plan ahead. Experience of the homecare sector is essential, together with a good knowledge of the care regulations and standards. You must possess a full UK driving licence, although you would normally have the use of a company pool car to travel to appointments with potential new clients.

We are looking for an approachable, friendly and professional senior staff member to work as part of a dedicated and loyal team where everyone shares the same ethos, which is to deliver the highest possible standard of care to all our service-users. The role is likely to appeal to someone already working as a senior in care, or possibly to someone from a nursing background who is looking to get into care management.

The business operates from bright and spacious offices with kitchen facilities and convenient parking in the attractive village of Little Chesterford, just north of Saffron Walden.

An attractive salary is offered for a 35-hour working week, plus 28 days' annual holiday and a company pension scheme. Success in the role could lead to further promotion within the organisation to the role of Live-in Care Manager.
