MHA is a charity providing care, accommodation and support services for more than 16,000 older people throughout Britain. South East and East Anglia Live at Home scheme provides practical and social support to older people living in the community.
As part of a small team reporting to the Live at Home Operations Manager, this role provides support to our existing Live at Home services. The Live at Home Area Manager will lead new developments across the area, as we seek to expand our services to reach more older people, as part of our 10 year strategy.
Live at Home services respond to local needs and offer support for older people to reduce loneliness and social isolation. The services delivered in each area are in response to the needs of the local community, and include signposting and information, one to one befriending visits, lunch clubs, social activities, and telephone-based support. You will lead and co-ordinate this work in your area, including monitoring standards and developing policies and practice.
Experience of management of community services and working with volunteers is essential. The job requires monthly travel to the services within your area and may include overnight stays.
