Litigator (Motor), Cardiff
At NewLaw we do things a little bit differently.
We have a great history of leading the way with personal injury claims. We continue to be a market leader by offering innovative solutions in a challenging environment.
Right now we are planning for the future with a number of change and growth programmes. As a result, we have many opportunities for talented individuals looking to start or continue their career helping accident victims get the compensation they deserve. We have plans to achieve dramatic growth in our Cardiff office and this is a great time to join our team.
Right now we are looking for a new team member to join our successful 'RTA Non-MOJ’ team in Cardiff. As one of our Litigators you’ll be profitably managing your own caseload of circa 130 non-MOJ cases split between approximately 30% litigated and 70% pre-issue. Working in a fast-paced and high energy environment, this role certainly offers variety. You’ll effectively manage and progress your cases using a case management system. By talking to your clients, negotiating claims on their behalf you will make sure they get the best settlement possible. You’ll work in a friendly team that takes its work seriously, but which also finds time for some fun along the way.
Our various support areas are busy making sure NewLaw is the best it can be. We are soon to launch a cutting-edge new case management system to help you with your caseload and we are improving our career pathways/development programmes to help support our lawyers to build their skills and expertise.
We support and develop people from a wide range of backgrounds to become talented lawyers. With entry-level routes into different teams, we can offer exciting careers to people whether or not they have paralegal experience, a law degree or if they have good experience dealing with customers in a professional environment. We invest in their training and development so that they will be part of our team that 95% of our clients would recommend.
To join our successful team you’ll need to show us a number of qualities:
- Proven experience of handling RTA claims within an insurance or legal environment. Ideally, you will have experience of managing litigated cases, however, this isn’t essential.
- A commercial mind-set and good negotiating skills. You need to ensure you are getting the best deal for your clients and you also need to understand how to make sure you run your caseload to meet your targets.
- Organisation and time management skills. It’s a busy job and you will have many clients to support. Keeping on top of it needs focus and resilience.
- A strong level of literacy and numeracy, excellent attention to detail and great communication skills.
If you can demonstrate these qualities we’d like to hear from you.
We can offer you a competitive salary and a range of benefits which includes (as we are part of the Redde plc group) a share save scheme and car purchase discounts. We are based in modern offices in the heart of Cardiff, right in the city centre and about 2 minutes’ walk from Cardiff Queen Street train station.
If you like what we have to offer and want to hear more, please attach your CV and a covering letter and let us know your salary expectations and when you might be able to start.
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
