Job Title: Linux Support Consultant
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Have you got strong Linux skills and experience?
Do you have a keen desire to become a crucial new member of the UK's leading expert Linux support and consultancy teams?
Have Linux at home as well as some in-depth hands-on experience within a commercial environment?
Fancy joining the UK's leading Linux brains to solve and support their client's Linux infrastructure?
And are you a problem solver who loves to get things done?
If you're the right technical support expert with a decent amount of Linux experience (and a passion for all things Linux) then you'll be rewarded with a very good work environment, clients who appreciate you, a team of other passionate technical brains, as well as a good package which includes the following ... and if you're not excited by this, then perhaps it's not the right company for you:
A Home server
Whichever keyboard, monitor and mouse you want
LWN subscription and Zalman
Potential to work from home ( once you're established in role)
Other technologies you would be using in this role includes the following, and whilst we don't expect you to be familiar with them all, you must have a growth mindset and be prepared to learn about them (and others!):
- Open Grid Scheduler
Did we mention the annual company event which has included canoeing, horse riding and gliding (not simultaneously!), plus the whole company went to Paris in 2016 as a thank you for doing all the right things for their clients. In addition, the company is giving 5% of this year's profits to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
By the way, qualifications are not as crucial as your passion for all things Linux.
Yes, you'll be paid a decent salary on top of all that, and depending on your experience, you can expect between £40,000 to £50,000 as a base salary.
If you love big business and big open plan offices, then this is not for you.
If, however, you like or crave to be a member of the leading Linux team in the UK in a small office of 7 staff (plus the office dog who is extremely friendly), then this could just be your next move. I'd even go as far as saying their office wins the award for most lovely view of the surrounding Monmouthshire countryside.
We look forward to hearing from you ASAP (interviews are as soon as you apply so no point waiting!) We will move quickly with your application!
