CUSTOMERS: Academic, Research, Industrial, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Laboratories
A great opportunity for a commercially-minded research scientist (ideally holding a PhD or with extensive laboratory experience) who has the drive and motivation to enter scientific technical and consultative sales! Full sales and product training is provided.
Maintain existing business, develop incremental business in existing accounts, and develop new accounts
Participate in company sales training programs
Execute a strategic business plan for managing assigned territory annually, updated quarterly
Develop presentations and customer proposals
Maintain and increase current customer database
Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activities and changing customer development plans and priorities
Provide product and other relevant information to customers via daily phone contact and personal visits
BSc in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; (PhD preferred) or the equivalent knowledge and experience
In-depth knowledge of Cell Culture and Molecular Biology
Sales experience preferred, but scientists with the desire to move into sales will be considered.
Experience with customer contact, teaching or public speaking helpful
