Job Title: Licensing Manager - EMEA

Salary: Competitive

Location: Milton Keynes

My client is looking for an experienced Licensing Manager - EMEA to support and assist the Licensing Director, and the business, by providing tools/materials in line with their Licensing strategy and work closely alongside a Licensing Assistant. This includes but is not limited to providing compelling PowerPoint presentations for Sales Teams to present to customers, preparing business review presentations for Licensors, preparing deal memos for new license acquisitions, maximising marketing opportunities for licensed ranges, assisting with forecasting and royalty analysis, overseeing product approvals, identifying any gaps and opportunities at retail for each licence and recommending new licenses to acquire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Internal Brand Communication

­ Work closely with Sales, Marketing & Product teams (UK & EU) to share brand activity and drive sales and retail listings of licensed ranges

­ Prepare sales presentations and brand overviews for their teams to share with customers

­ Compile and maintain Movie Release calendars and circulate internally

  • Systems & Processes

­ Keep Finance team updated with changes in commercial terms & contracts to enable them to update internal systems, maintain status reports and monitor 'Out of Scope’ sales - to ensure we remain contractually compliant

  • Licensor Relationships & Deal Memos

­ Day to day point of contact for licensors and internal UK & EU teams

­ Prepare Business Overview presentations as required for licensor meetings

­ Draft all Deal Memos for license renewals and new acquisitions, securing internal sign-off

­ Meet Licensors to understand their brand marketing plans and retail listings to share internally

  • Product Development

­ Oversee and assist Licensing Assistant, who is ultimately responsible for all Product Approvals

­ Oversee preparation of sales sheets for all new licensed ranges In UK & EU, and circulate internally

  • Retail & Marketing

­ Work with sales team to maintain Retail Tracker spreadsheet that confirms listings for each product category

­ Track Marketing Spend and work with Sales & Marketing teams across EMEA, and Licensors, to devise campaigns to drive sell-through

  • Analysis & Forecasting

­ Work with Finance Business Partner to ensure they have all the information needed to provide Licensors with accurate quarterly forecasts

­ Provide Finance Business Partner with any Licensing Information required for Audits

­ Include sales analysis and retail channel splits in all Business Review presentations

  • Industry Events & Trade Shows

­ Attend all relevant Industry Events & Trade Shows

­ Attend all relevant Licensor meetings & Brand Immersion days

  • Any other duties as required from time to time to support the Licensing team

Knowledge, training and experience required

  • Exemplary IT skills, particularly in relation to Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook. Ideally with experience in using Internal Databases
  • Proven experience of working effectively in a team environment, demonstrating strong communication & relationship building skills, good attention to detail, a confident approach with lots of initiative
  • A driven individual, with a 'go-getting’ attitude, flexibility and an eagerness to get stuck in and learn
  • Ideally with a background in Licensing, Sales, Marketing or Retail and be educated to A Level standard
