Job role: Library Assistant
Location: Headington, Oxford
Salary: £8.33 per hour
Hours: 9.00 - 3.30, Monday - Friday
*All sections to be in alphabetical order by composer first
*Revise the full Library spreadsheet to include all items in the library and move all library spreadsheets to one data base
*Replace all torn and damaged music folders
*Relabel music folders ensuring the composer name is written on the left side of bag and name visible when on shelf
*Develop sections in the library to include vocal items and music education resources
*To further organise these sections: Junior Orchestra, Intermediate Orchestra, Senior Orchestra, Junior Strings, Intermediate Strings, Senior Strings, Junior Wind Band, Intermediate Wind Band, Oxfordshire Youth Wind Band, String Quartets, Chamber ensembles, Beginning school Orchestra, Brass Band, Brass Ensemble, method books, piano books, general music
*Create space in area by culling many items of no use to OCMS
*Store all mini scores in alphabetical order by composer
*Undertake any general clerical and administrative tasks to support the above process
*Ability to communicate effectively
*Highly methodical and organised approach to tasks, with an eye for detail
*Proven accuracy in data entry
*Initiative, flexibility and ability to handle change
*Ability to work calmly under pressure prioritising competing demands effectively
