Lettings Negotiator

Our client is a successful lettings agency situated in Leicester.  They act as an agent between the owners and students.

With their long term vision to become the leading provider of accommodation in Leicester, synonymous with first class quality, its perhaps not surprising they have ambitious expansion plans! Having just signed an agreement with a large corporate business to manage their portfolio in Leicester, they continue to grow, and have doubled in size in the last couple of years alone..

This success creates today, an opportunity for an experienced sales professional, preferably with lettings experience, to embark on a career within challenging, yet rewarding property sector.

As Lettings Negotiator for the business, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with both landlords and tenants, working closely with the Marketing Team and Property Management Officers to drive sales and quality of service. A role critical to the growth strategy, you will be key to achieving annual income generation and lettings targets.

On a day to day basis your duties will include:

Conducting viewings of properties with prospective tenants

Assisting in property take-ons, meeting landlords, appraising properties and providing accurate valuations.

Acting as the central point of contact for new landlord enquiries

Boosting sales of the company's purpose-built accommodation, ensuring spaces are occupied as early in the cycle as possible

Promoting the service to owners of suitable properties, ensuring properties and landlords accepted meet minimum standards set

Liaising with landlords, providing regular feedback and making recommendations on necessary improvements

Assisting in the promotion of available properties using appropriate media channels

Dealing effectively with prospective and existing tenant queries, identifying and responding to customer needs in an efficient manner

Assisting with the drawing up of tenancy paperwork and the move in process

Seeking to expand new business in the private market, specifically aiming to drive
conversion of new and existing properties.

Persuading existing landlords to upgrade to fully managed service

Building your general local knowledge base and overall understanding of market in terms of the products and services offered by competitors.

Providing overall customer service support at both sites as required (peak times), dealing with face to face, over the telephone and email enquiries

Working flexibly during key letting period, November to February and June to September

You'll already be an experienced sales professional with a proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes. Experience and understanding of the property and lettings sector would of course be preferred, but with the right skill and indeed mindset, we can be flexible. What's more important is your positivity, focused attitude, enthusiastic personality and willingness to deliver, not to mention sense of urgency!

You'll have a big personality, be hugely driven and self motivated and have an incredible attention to detail. Yes, you'll often be off site meeting with potential landlords and working independently.
