Lettings Negotiator / Lettings Consultant / Lettings Agent

Lettings Negotiator is needed by our client, a well-established independent property management company, to be base in their Derby (Derbyshire) office. They specialise in property sales, lettings and property management for both residential and commercial clients.

With over 30 years' experience, they are now on the lookout for a new member to join their team.

About the Role

  • Reporting to the Manager/Director, your role will be varied and involve the following:
  • Meeting & greeting prospective tenants and landlords
  • Handling customer enquiries (over the phone & via email)
  • Updating properties internal and external displays websites
  • Carrying out general administrative duties
  • Ensuring daily, weekly and monthly KPIs are met or surpassed (10 to 15 Lets per month & at least 5 to 8 New Instructions)
  • Negotiating offers and agreeing a let with tenants
  • Booking & carrying out evaluations, viewings & inspections
  • Regularly changing the window display
  • Ensuring landlords and vendors are sent, complete & return their terms of agency
  • Ensuring all properties have a valid EPC
  • Dealing with tenant sign ups, admin fees, receipts, reference checks
  • Following up on viewings & passing on feedback to the landlord
  • Passing inventory referrals to the manager
  • Matching tenants to properties & arranging viewings
  • Updating property information to their systems and media sites
  • Carrying out routine visits, inspections and final property

About You

  • Minimum 1 year's experience within a similar role
  • Previous experience working in property management
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proficient in SAGE, Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Local knowledge of Derby area (preferable)
  • Understanding the importance of confidentiality & handling of sensitive data
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines/targets
  • Excellent communication skills (confident & effective telephone manner)
  • Ability to thrive within a team & work independently
  • Presentable & professional at all times
