Legal Secretary

This Role will be to provide Secretarial and Admin support to Solicitors within the firm and assist with the Accounts Department.

Assistant Legal Accounts duties will include;

  • Daily Bank Reconciliations
  • Preparation and processing of authorized payments and transfers of funds
  • Data entry on accounts system to include time recordings, receipts and payments, invoices, disbursements, etc

Secretarial / Admin Duties will include;

  • Audio and copy typing
  • Some Diary Management
  • Supporting other Secretaries within the firm when necessary
  • Supporting fee earners with admin
  • Preparing documents and forms
  • Answering phone calls
  • Reception/ Meeting and greeting clients
  • Using a case management system

The ideal candidate for this role will;

  • Be numerical and computer literate with full knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel
  • Be flexible and enthusiastic with a real can do approach
  • Be able to work confidently and on their own initiative
  • A background within the legal area is preferred but not essential
