Legal Secretary

Are you seeking a legal secretarial role? Perhaps you have experience as a Legal Assistant or a PA and would like to transfer your skills to a Legal Secretarial environment?

If so, REED are recruiting for a Permanent Legal Secretary to join an international Legal sector client paying a salary of £22,000 per annum.

The role will be working within the Real Estate Team in Bristol, set within lovely modern and open plan office, with onsite canteen and based close to Bristol Temple Meads station (no free car parking available). The team comprises of Partners, Associates, Solicitors, Legal Executives, Paralegals, and 8 x Legal Secretaries.


Duties will include:

Preparing correspondence and documents from audio dictation alongside proof reading
Answering and making telephone calls
Managing the case management system
Keeping case files organised and logical
Preparing documentation bundles
Setting up new files and archiving of files
Copying discs
Booking client meetings
Producing branded presentations and team sheets
Ensuring fee earners are updated in relation to deadlines for work

In order to be successful with this application you will need to:

Be qualified to a minimum of 5 GCSE's including a Grade C in English and Maths or equivalent
Have typing speeds of 65 wpm as a minimum
A secretarial NVQ/Diploma or equivalent (beneficial not essential)
An excellent eye for detail with a concern for quality and accuracy
Team orientated and collaborative approach with a flexible, can do attitude
