An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Secretary to a highly regarded Residential Property team based in the outskirts Plymouth. We are seeking a motivated, client focused and friendly individual who ideally has a wide range of experience across the full spectrum of legal expertise, but particularly residential property work.
As a member of the Property secretarial team, you will provide effective administrative and secretarial support to the fee earners specialising in residential conveyancing, to enable them to operate at optimum efficiency.
You will assist the fee earners with progressing residential property matters from instruction through to completion. This will include but will not be limited to the preparation and submission of searches, conducting searches and enquiries through the Land Registry Portal, filing SDLT returns, preparing completion work including raising cheques, completion statements, invoicing and preparing files for closing and archiving, as well as providing general secretarial and administrative support.
Also, as a member of the Plymouth secretarial team, you will provide general administrative and secretarial support to other fee earners in the office, as and when required, either in the absence of a particular secretary or when excessive workloads require additional secretarial support, to enable such fee earners and the department as a whole to operate efficiently.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous residential conveyancing knowledge or other legal services knowledge.
